Production economy

Definition

Production economy is the part of business administration and deals with all commercial tasks of production. In addition to production and cost theory, it deals with the planning and control of the production program and the production process, the selection of the production process, the organization of production and the design of production potential. In doing so, production management considers the planning, control and monitoring of production holistically from an economic, ecological and employee-related point of view.
