Form of structural organisation design; combines the advantages of function-oriented and object-oriented organisation by transferring the core processes of the company to object-oriented business units, the segments. These are equipped with the necessary resources and competencies. Other business units become central service providers for the segments, but they themselves also work according to economic criteria and therefore also offer their services on the market.
