Definition
The workplace analysis is a systematic description of a workplace and its typical work operations in order to determine the physical and mental requirements it places on an employee. In this process, the purpose, structure and process of the tasks as well as the operating means for the execution of the tasks are documented.
On this basis, a requirement analysis is executed in order to determine the knowledge, skills and responsibilities required for the service provision.
The workplace analysis is the basis for the workplace assessment. It serves for the improvement of work conditions, enables evaluation of work in connection with wage-setting, helps with the ideal staffing of the workplace and the instruction of the workforce.
