Work process

Definition

According to DIN EN ISO 6385:2004, a work process is defined as the “spatial and chronological sequence of the interaction between worker/user, working means, materials, energy and information within a work system”. By contrast, the REFA methodology additionally defines work processes as the events involving the processing of assignments across multiple work systems, which can be examined by the REFA process analysis with regard to possible improvements.
