Includes all tasks and work systems that are required to manufacture a specific product or realize a specific service and form a coherent process (sequence). For the purpose of description, representation, evaluation and design, an overall process is divided into process stages of different sizes: Overall process - partial process - process stage - operation - partial operation - operation stage - operation element.
