Definition
Refers to the division of a work process into two or more different variants. It is necessary in order to realise different sequence sections for the same work item, e.g. because other equipment, work processes, assemblies are to be used or special customer requirements are to be fulfilled. If the sequence of operations separated by an OR division is combined again into one sequence of operations in the further sequence of operations, this is an OR combination.
An OR loop link, on the other hand, is present if the previously executed workflow is completely or partially run through again after the OR division has taken place. → Sequence structure
