Definition
Method for the comparative assessment of activity and design alternatives, products with regard to the goal achievement using relevant criteria that are independent of each other and subjectively rated according to their importance. The criteria cannot be expressed as a monetary or numeric value, e.g. functional characteristics of a device for the user. It is used in the comparison of variants next to cost accounting to determine the best variant for the design of a work system.
