Comparing and Estimating

Definition

Method for the determination of work data by comparing objects, e.g. process sections or work objects, in consideration of similarities and differences as well as by the approximate determination of quantitative data, e.g. time data. The compared work processes are subdivided as far as possible to facilitate estimations. Precondition is a sufficient stock of process steps that have been systematically organised, explicitly described and assessed in terms of duration. -> time category procedure
