Definition
All inputs to a work system, e.g., work objects, information, and energy necessary to perform the task. Humans are considered as inputs when the function of the work system is directed towards them (e.g. medical treatment). Output Influences on the work system from its environment, e.g. emissions, are not assigned to the input.
