Work structurization

Definition

Refers to principles for task design through criteria-driven grouping of subtasks according to operational requirements, opportunities and objectives. These include:

  • Job enlargement (grouping together of similar subtasks)

  • Job enrichment (combining subtasks of different complexity)

  • Simplification of work (reduction of the workload by changing the demand level of tasks)

  • Task rotation (also job rotation), in which employees alternate between different tasks.

  • Group work by combining different tasks for joint execution by several people. work sharing
