Definition

The REFA time type consists of the sum of times of all process sections that may occur as an addition to the planned work process’ execution. They may also occur independent of an order.

They are added to the time requirement of the planned work process’ execution by the operating mean or a person and refer to the amount M = 1. Allowance times flow into the work order time, occupancy time and setup time. It is distinguished between factual (t_S) and individual allowance time (t_P):

• the factual allowance time t_s contains times for “additional activity MZ” and “interruption MS caused by malfunction”,
• the individual allowance time t_p comprises all times for “individual interruption of the activity MP”.
