The globally active Schaeffler Group operates a large production plant in the Romanian city of Braşov (formerly Kronstadt). The historic city is located about 150 km north of Bucharest in Transylvania and has a population of over 250.000. The company has relied on the proven further vocational training programme of REFA International AG for some time and now commissioned a further training course for part of the Romanian workforce.
Fifteen participants completed the REFA-Seminar "Methods of Time Data Determination", which was held in English. The main topics covered were time data determination, activity sampling, standard data determination as well as the recognition, elimination or minimisation of non-value-adding proportions of processes. The course was concluded with a written examination in which the extremely committed participants achieved particularly good results. In the presence of their management, the four project groups demonstrated their newly acquired knowledge in a presentation of time data recording on current work systems.
